I have been an addicted user of AcChen since OPENSTEP times (and, in fact, one of the reasons I still use OPENSTEP is because of this game)

Tim, I am currently busy with iPad development so I am not sure if there will be a fee version. But maybe Toast Shooter will be free for one day in the future.
Anyway - if you decide to try out Toast Shooter, the financial risk is quite low
