Spherical is a classic Jump and Run game with a lot of strategy elements. It’s a mix between Solomon’s Key and Deflector. But of cause there are a lot of more things… The development took about one year. Spherical was written in 68000 assembler. The final version contains about 18300 lines of assembler source code and hundreds of sprites. We developed it on an Atari ST computer with 1MB of RAM and a 20MB Harddisk =). After we finished the Atari version we ported Spherical to the Amiga. The distributor ( Rainbow Arts ) did a C64 port. Release date of the Atari/Amiga version was July 1989.

I loved this game too, takes me back years, but I spent hours playing your game, it was fantastic. How hard is it to port to iPhone?
Matt, development for the iPad/iPhone is ’somehow’ in progress :). Still some way to go but I am confident of releasing it in the future.
That’s awesome news, I’m looking forward to it already. Thanks for a great game; it reminds me of some good times.
